VCenter 7.0 - can't delete VMDK file

Has anyone ever run into something like this

-I was migrating a vm (test box) from one datastore to another. Connection got interrupted and the migration failed.

-Despite the migration failing - vmdk file still shows up and eats space on the datastore i attempted to move it to

-tried to delete the file - says it can't be done

-i ended up deleting the VM - cause i need the space and it's just a testbox. Despite deleting it - i'm still seeing it on BOTH datastores. The one it originally being hosted on, and the one i attempted to migrate it to.

Any idea on how to get rid of these VMDK files?

Did you check to see if there is a lock on any of the hosts? You can try renaming the vmdk and then delete it.

There are no locks on any hosts. I tried to rename and delete it but unfortunately that didn't work
