VCSA appliance upgrade fails at 35% in 2nd step version 6.7 U3p Build 18831133 to 7.0 U3d 19480866

We have done necessary changes on hostname FQDN to make sure it is matched with the PNID and also DNS records have been take care.

We initiated the upgrade and the pre-upgrade checks issue was resolved that we encountered last time in the 2nd stage. On successful completion of the upgrade checks in 2nd stage, stage 2 process started smoothly but however in the last final stage of stage 2 where it imports the VUM data in target VC, came across error “Import timed out” exceeded 60 minutes default timeout period for upgrade.

VMware tried multiple fix or workaround, also extended the default ‘Import-Export timeout’ to 3 hrs but still same error is occurring.

The step 3 “Import coped data” of 2nd stage is failing at 35%.

If anyone have fix for this let us know

Increasing the export timeout will just delay the failure. Logs should guide on why VUM data export is failing .
