I tried to deploy an ova files from VCSA that system always present " general error" and then stop. but same ova files can be deployed to another vCenter Server which is installed in windows platform.
Both, vCenter Server for Windows as well as the vCSA should work the same way. Which version do you use and which .ova do you try to deploy?

It supports OVA deployment. It would be an issue with storage or network.
I used ESXi5.5 and VCSA 5.5. ova files name is vSphere AppHA
