win7 Ultimate -64bit blue screen, during XP or Linux install in Workstation 7.1

After struggling to get Workstation 7.1.0 build-261024 to recognize a CD drive (external USB CD worked), I get a Windows Blue Screen "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" message, a core dump, and a Lenovo laptop which responds only to the power switch. Anyone seen anything like this? Install Logs found in Virtual Machine folder attached, Collect Suppport data process loops endlessly? without completion, ran 15 minutes.

That error is often caused by driver problems. Update the CD-ROM drivers on your host if possible.

Do you have the c:\windows\minidump\ files available? Zip and post them.
