connectivity problem to vms

Host os  windows 7 ultimate

vmware workstation 9

virtual machines

1.windows xp

2. Esxi 5.0

3 esxi5.0

4 windows 2008 server.the problem is i connection is possible between virtual machines.but i am not able to connect to host os.when trying to ping it shows  destination unreachable.firewall is off.

How did you set your network adapters on the VMs? NAT/Bridged?

Post your IP configuration please.

for windows xp network is bridged ...

gave manual ip of 192.168.1.3

for my host windows 7 ip of 192.168.1.1  for  physical network..

vmnet 1  and vmnet8 showing ip of same range 

bridged

Have you tried pinging from Windows 7 host to XP guest?

Windows 7 sometimes comes with a default setting that will drop ICMP (ping) packets and won't answer pings.

its showing general transmit failure...where shud i give an ip adress for host its showing vmnet 1 vmnet 8 they have dynamic ip but its showing disconnected ethernet adapter,when i connect my physical lan cable its possible to guest os.. but its dynamic ip from isp

changed to host only in network adapter settings now its working fine
