I just looked at noticed that the VMware Workstation 6.5.1 update is available.
Release notes at http://vmware.com/support/ws65/doc/releasenotes_ws651.html
I hope the issues with NAT are fixed.
mike
It's not mentioned in the release notes, but we did address the vmnat crash in WS 6.5.1, so it should be fixed.
The "Event 100" spew from vmauthd in the Windows Event Viewer also should be gone.
Did you also address the regression in vmware-vdiskmanager ?
(in 6.5.0 it couldn't be used to consolidate vmdks with snapshots)

Not to my knowledge, but I don't think I've heard of that issue before... is there a thread about that?
Just tested - bug is still present.
To reproduce create VM with disk.vmdk - create snapshot - then you have disk-000001.vmdk
then run
vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -r disk-000001.vmdk -t 0 consolidated-disk.vmdk
You get an error:
Creating disk 'consolidated-disk.vmdk'
Failed to convert disk: The called function cannot be performed on partial chain
s. Please open the parent virtual disk (0x500003e83).
As a nasty workaround you can use vmware-vdiskmanager from 6.0.*
