Could not permanently set default display on Centos 8 Gnome. So I switched to KDE. In KDE I go and try to change the display resolution. And when I do it initially makes the change and then quickly reverts back to the default. At least KDE is nice enough to let me know its not going to happen.
What am I missing to make a permanent change to display resolution in Centos 8 guest?
are you trying a 4:3 aspect ratio or 16:9? I noticed Linux natively supported 4:3 under VMWare even though my host display was 16:9. vmtools on the guest may be forcing this.
Try one of these resolutions:
1024x768
1152x864
1280x960
1400x1050
1440x1080
1600x1200
1792x1344
1856x1392
1920x1440
Thank you for the reply. I tried several of them. Still the same result - it does not save the change.
