Vmware 16.2.5

Hey everyone

I wonder if anyone else uses Vmware - KVM mode so that no one can play with the settings on your running VM?

It is good but... how do I prevent the user getting to the desktop of the host by pressing the "Pause/Break" key?

This is annoying because i cant find a way to stop this from happening. I don't want the user to be able to do anything except use the VM only.

Cheers!

Ash.

Referring to VMware documentation https://blogs.vmware.com/workstation/2014/03/whats-cool-vmware-kvm-utility.html

this command might work: vmware-kvm.exe –preferences

You can remap or disable the "Pause/Break" key on the host machine. This can be done through the operating system settings or using third-party tools.

Thanks but using preferences only allows you to change which key but not to delete it all together.

Thanks I thought of that and tried it but I cannot use third party software on the cut down WIn10 version of Enterprise ENT IOT 2016 I am using. Its too old.
