VMWare Workstation does not shutdown an VM completely on Surface Pro 3

Hi, I am using VMWare Workstation 10.0.3 on my Surface Pro 3 with I7 and 8gb memory. Most times when I suspend my virtual machine image it doesn't stop the VM completely. The result is that I can not power on or off anymore and even can not quit VMWare Workstation because it says that the virtual machine is still busy. When I force to restart my computer and start VMWare Workstation again the virtual machine shows as suspended. What is good. This is only happening on my Surface Pro 3 Can anybody help? Best regards, Evert

Just for the record,  same thing happening on my Lenovo w530 with 16 gigs memory and Windows 8.1.   Trying to shut down a Small Business Server so I can move it to an ESXI server and it appears to have shut down, but still claims to be busy.

Just because it's Virtual doesn't mean it ain't real!
