VMWare CentOS 7 login issue

Having an issue with the localhost login page for CentOS linux 7 (core). It will not let me type the password I made with my customer connect account on the VMWare virtual machine. Need some pointers, first time using this software and new to programming.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say "customer connect account"? When those terms are used, I immediately think of my VMware Customer Connect account that I used to download the copy of Workstation. Which would not be valid for a login to the virtual machine.

Are you saying that you can't type in the username or password, or that the credentials are not accepted as a valid login to the VM?
