Hello,
I don't understand why VMWare tools for Windows 8.1 do not allow to reach 5760x1080 Screen resolution in VM and it works under Windows 7.
What can I do, now I absolutely need Windows 8.1, if VM Ware don't fix this 1 year old bug, I think I'll go to Hyperv or Virtual Box.
Thanks for your help,
Best regards,
Laurent
Hi,
In your subject title you mention VMware Workstation 10.
The ability to use a higher screen resolution is one of the features of VMware Workstation 11.

To be fair, I haven't used Workstation 11 since the preview stage, so can't compare that kind of resolution now (not that my eyes would give you a usable feedback on that resolution). But I do know that higher screen resolutions are supported on Fusion 7 (which I do use).
The thing I would suggest is to download Workstation 11 and run it as a 30 day trial version to see if it resolves your issues.
I do not expect this type of issue to be resolved in Workstation 10.
Hope this helps,

Hello,
Thanks for your help.
I'm VMWare workstation client since VMWare Workstation 8.
When I purchased the upgrade from 9 to 10, it was because I noticied It was not possible to reach ultra wide definition under Windows 8 and the 10 version was "designed to virtualize windows 8".
I hope it works really to 11 version.
Thanks,
