I am using workstation - 6.5.3, and my OS is Windows XP - SP3.
I get the following exception while I click on Debug after adding the "VMware execute Java application" in Eclipse.

Also I verified that the VM is running and logged in. The VM is a sles 10.2 - 32 bit VM.
