We have an application that capture and read image from an imaging device that connected via USB to a Laptop with Windows 10 OS.
The application works fine when we have connected to Laptop ( host ).
But we also want to use the application in VMware with windows 10 image. We have bought VMware Pro 17. The application start in VMware but can not find all the devices connected to the USB port (VMWare guest).
We have investigated the issue, and found out that the USB hub hierarchy looks different in VMWare guest machine than when it is in host machine.
I was wondering if you have any suggestion to solve the above issue. Is it any way to make VMware guest USB mapping exactly the same as in Host. So the USB hub hierarchy are the same as when it is connected to host machine.
