USB Drives not detected by Vmware Workstation Pro 17

The host is a Linux Endeavour OS Distro. Can't see any USB flash drives in menu VM > Removable devices. USB controller is enabled in VM's settings (I tried all options of USB version).

ALL drive's working fine in the host machine.
Uninstalling and Reinstalling Vmware Workstation Pro 17 didn't work.
Adding to *.vmx file line usb.restrictions.defaultAllow = "TRUE" didn't help.
VMware tools is successfully installed on guest OS.

Is there any configuration that could be failing me?

That line just makes sure that the USB devices are enabled in the "Removable Devices".

VMware Tools does not contain USB drivers. The drivers should come from the guest OS.

Does it happen regardless of guest OS type (Windows 7/8/10/11 or Linux variants)? What are the guest OS? What is the USB type specified in the VM setting (3.1 or 1.1 or 2.0)?

Did you try different USB ports on the host? Are you using a Thunderbolt dock or some kind of USB-C to USB adapter? There have been cases reported going back to 2018, where devices (not just USB, but also Ethernet for bridging) attached through a Thunderbolt dock are not recognised at all at VMware Workstation.
