Please help me. I have been beset by a problem.

The operating system of my host computer:

Centos7.4

The version of the vmware workstation:

Pro 14 for linux

The issue:

If I do some settings on the vmware by modifying the configuration files, it won't become effective unless I reboot the operating system,it is also no

use to restart the vmware. For example, I want to open a port which can nat to a virtual machine, so I modify the configuration file "/etc/vmware/vmnet8/nat/nat.conf",then,I need to reboot the OS to enforce effective.

I wonder if there is a command to enforce the vmware to reload the configuration files or some way others to enforce effective without rebooting the OS.

Thank you very much!

Try to stop the vmware NAT service as root.
Then modify the config file.
Then start the vmware NAT service again.

Forgot to mention in last post ....
Probably you should also stop the vmware DHCP service - that depends on the config chances.
