New XP VM Won't Boot - BSOD (mfehidk.sys/session3_initialization_failed)

I am running VMware Workstation 6.53 on a 64-bit Windows 7 desktop. I have used the latest Converter Standalone Client to virtualize a Windows XP 32-bit client. I've run the converter on both client itself as well as remotely from the Windows 7 machine. The conversion completes normally. When I open the VM guest in 6.53, Windows starts to open and then Blue Screens with the message session3_initialization_failed. When I run the XP VM in Safe mode, the startup stop at mfehidk.sys. Can anyone tell me what might be happening?

that proabaly are old drivers you do not need anymore inside the VM.

I would boot into a BartPE and load the system hive of the imported XP.

Then I would look for the mentioned driver and disable it.

btw - mfehidk.sys seems to be part of McAffee
