Multiple monitors in VMWare 11 not working

Hello gentlemen,

I've been strugling with getting my 2 monitors working in vmware workstation. I managed to get it working before, but now i somehow can't seem to find a way to make it work.

Here is what i did:

- I installed VMWare tools.

- Hardware > Display > Specifiy monitor settings > Number of monitors: 2.

Whenever i click on 'view' > 'Cycle multiple monitors' i get the following error:

"This virtual machine cannot use multiple monitors for the following reasons:

- The virtual machine's Display setting must be "Use host settings" or specify more then one monitor with asufficiently-high maximum resolution.

Please check the user manual for help on fixing these issues."

Am i forgetting something? Would love to get this working.

Also, if it helps, im using a Debian based OS.

Before you cycle to 2 monitors, did you power off the VM and then power on to take effect?

Also have you tried with workstation 12? It should be better compared with 11.

Besides, what's the Debian version you used as host? and please provide the guest information as well. Thanks!
