Don't log off. Switch users instead.

But the Free Vmware Server is designed for this, and it will run the virtual machines

created with workstation. It runs headless, does not require a monitor and can

be managed remotely.

In my case I urn Vmware Server on Linux, and have a windows box inside.

The VM will reboot when the host reboots (which is like once every 8 months)

and the host is running at runlevel 3 (no X).

You don't mention what platform you are using.

Leave the use logged in.

Minimize the vmworkstation and everything will be fine.

Otherwise I think it is not possible or beginn with the Enterprse Products (e.g. ESXi) Smiley Happy

MCP, VCP3 , VCP4
