DHCP Service issuing Addresses to workstations on the LAN

I am running Workstation version 6.5.3 build-185404 (recently upgraded) Twice this week I have caught the DHCP service issuing IP addresses to other employee workstations (physical) using DHCP. I have not experienced this issue in the past with previous versions. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? For now I have stopped the service which resolves the problem, but only as a temporary work around.

Thank you

The only time this should be happening is if you have accidentally bridged one of the VMnet virtual NICs on your host to one of your host's physical NICs.

Either you can disable the Vmware DHCP service from services of the particular windows machine on which the vmware workstation is running or you deslect the automatic Bridging option in Vmware Network Editor options. But better is to disable the service if you actually do not need it.

Thanks
