When starting VMware workstation 6.04 I receive the following error in my application event log. One error for each VM. None of my VM's autostart. I haven't seen anyone with a solution.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: vmauthd
Event Category: None
Event ID: 100
Date: 8/26/2008
Time: 8:30:54 AM
User: N/A
Computer: GGORAXP1
Description:
Cannot connect to VMX: D:\VM's\Windows Server 2003 Standard - Exchange\Windows Server 2003 Standard - Exchange.vmx
Try to ignore this - it is just background noise from a fat service - if you are admin - disable vmauthd

One part is trekkie-heritage - you know the Q-continuum ?
Another part is a reference to one of my alltime favorite music tracks. As I am a fretless bassplayer this goes to the tune Continuum on Jaco Pastorius debut album from 1976
Now after 5 years in this madhouse it also means it goes on and on and on ...
