Accessing files on host from win 8.1 VM in workstation 10 changes characters in filenames

I am attempting to access UI objects in a ClearCase snapshot on my host computer. File names that contain a % character are misrepresented in the guest OS. The % is displayed as ]%.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
