Hello,

The service vmauthd is not able to start.

The error is coming after the update to this last version indacated before.

In the event viewer, two messages are shown in the event properties:

- Try reinstalling VMware Workstation.

- Version mismatch with vmmon driver: expecting 385.0, got 308.0.

First thing you may want to try is completely remove the existing version, re-download the new version, and attempt a re-install.

It has been installed the last version and build 15.5.1 bd15018445 as indicated, there is not update pending. The version working before such update was 15.5.0 bd 14665864.

The MS window 10 64b build 18362 10.0.18362.

Before to remove and reinstall I attach you some log files if useful for investigation.
