Installation VMWARE 16.1 sur Windows 10

Bonjour;

Je désespère !! je n'arrive pas à installer VMWARE 16.1 sur Windows10, je lance l'installation en tant qu'Administrateur, ça démarre, mais à la fin, j'ai ceci qui s'affiche ::

"Setup failed to create the VMware group on this system"
(Traduit en Fr.: "Le programme d'installation n'a pas réussi à créer le groupe VMware sur ce système"

Essai avec anti-virus est désactivé, ça ne marche pas non plus, je ne sais plus quoi faire.

J'ai essayé avec VMware Workstation Player 17.5 (gratuit) c'est pareil, j'ai "Setup failed to create the VMware group on this system" avec toutes les versions.

Pouvez-vous m'aider ? sinon, je vais devoir abandonner ce produit.

I despair !! I cannot install VMWARE 16.1 on Windows 10, I launch the installation as Administrator, it starts, but at the end, I have this displayed::

(Translated to Fr.: "The installer failed to create the VMware group on this system"

Testing with anti-virus is disabled, that doesn't work either, I don't know what to do.

I tried with VMware Workstation Player 17.5 (free) it's the same, I have "Setup failed to create the VMware group on this system" with all versions.

Can you help me ? Otherwise, I will have to abandon this product.

Does this happen on  a standalone PC, or on a domain joined system?
Are you able to create a local group with the name "__vmware__" (note the two underscores at the beginning, and at the end) manually?

In doubt, check the installation log file, which should contain details.

Désolé, je vais peut-être vous paraître idiot, mais je ne comprends pas, exceptionnellement, voudriez-vous me préciser comment créer un groupe local (est ce dans l'Editeur de stratégie de groupe local ?) vous marquez : "notez les deux traits de soulignement au début et à la fin" je ne comprends pas non plus, désolé.
A toute fin utile, je suis sous Windows10 Pro 64bits, à savoir que depuis que j'ai commencé en 2007, je ne me suis jamais retrouvé devant un te problème !!

Note : Est ce que je dois traduire en Anglais à chaque fois ou non ?

For all intents and purposes, I am running Windows 10 Pro 64bits, which means that since I started in 2007, I have never encountered a problem!!

Note: Do I have to translate into English every time or not?

You can create local groups within the Computer Management, or by justusing lusrmgr.msc.
However, as an alternative you may just run the following command in an elevated (Run as Administrator) command window (cmd.exe).

net localgroup __vmware__ /comment:"VMware User Group" /add

It's not powershell.exe from where you want to run the command, but cmd.exe. Also remember to start it "As Administrator".

Que ce soit avec cmd.exe ou PowerShell, c'est pareil, d'ailleurs, à svoir que PowerShelle est plus perfectionné que l'invite de commande classique, il y a même plus récent que le PowerShell de base, c'est "PowerShell 7 (x64).

That's strange.
The command line works. I've copied it from my Windows 10 PC, after running it successfully.

Do you have some anti virus, or other protection software installed on your PC, which may intercept such tasks?

Oui, j'ai Bitdefender Total Security comme Anti-Virus, mais même désactivé, ça ne change rien !

J'ai essayé de créer le groupe manuellement pour VMware, mais c'est pareil, ça marche pas, en pièce jointe, je vous mets la capture avec toutes les vues, et donc le résultat, dans "Membres", j'ai essayé de placer "Administrateurs" mais c'est refusé, car pas dans la liste proposée, je vous avoue que je n'y comprends plus rien, d'autant que pour essai, j'ai tenté d'installer "VirtualBox" qui s'est installé très vite et sans problème, je ne sais pas ce que vient faire cette histoire de "Groupes" avec VMware, mais c'est drôlement "casse-pieds".

Qu'en pensez vous, merci ?

Note : Est-ce que la Pop Up "Nouveau groupe" est remplie correctement ? et avez-vous une autre méthode pour la création manuelle ?

Mais pourquoi donc ai-je cette Erreur ? c'est hallucinant !!

Yes, I have Bitdefender Total Security as Anti-Virus, but even disabled, it doesn't change anything!

I tried to create the group manually for VMware, but it's the same, it doesn't work, as an attachment, I put you the capture with all the views, and therefore the result, in "Members", I tried to place "Administrators" but it is refused, because not in the proposed list, I admit that I no longer understand anything about it, especially since for testing, I tried to install "VirtualBox" which is is installed very quickly and without problem, I don't know what this "Groups" thing is doing with VMware, but it's really annoying.

What do you think, thank you?

Note: Is the “New Group” Pop Up completed correctly? and do you have another method for manual creation?

Sorry, but I'm currently out of ideas what could be causing this.

Do you see any Windows Event Log entries after the error occurs?
