Deleted vmdk snapshot files and trying to recover

Hello:

I deleted my workstation (player, to be honest, not workstation pro...) snapshot files (named Ubuntu 64-bit-s001 for example, from what I known now they're snapshot files...) from my host OS and without backup...checked few posts but seemly only data recovery tools may help. Is it true? Any suggestion is very appreciated. Thank you.

I'm afraid that is indeed the case. The snapshot files contained data that has been modified after creating the snapshot, so the most that you can do - if it's not possible to somehow recover the deleted files - is to reconfigure the VM to the state, at which the snapshot was created.

Hello Andre:

Thank you for your reply. I think reconfigure may be easier for me also rather than finding tools to recover. Thank you and surely I should backup next time...
