Start-VM

Hello I was curious is it possible to boot a RedHat server in single user mode with the Start-VM cmdlet or any one commands?

Thanks for the help

If the VM is running and you have VMware Tools installed on the VM, you can use the Invoke-VMScript cmdlet to send the command "/sbin/init 1" to the guest OS.

Is it possible to do it with the VM turned off? I cannot bring the servers online in anything other then single user mode for this case.

I'm afraid not.
Then you can only boot the OS and select the single user option in the bootloader menu.
