Technically that it is possible, but I would very much advise against it.
A couple of reasons:
- your VCSA support by GSS
- run-away scripts might impact the performance of your VCSA
- a new VCSA version installation will simply overwrite your setup
- you are opening another path of attack in your VCSA
My rule is that the VCSA is to be considered a black box on which you only make changes on request of GSS.
My alternative, and preferred, solution is to set up a, or use an existing one, SNMP Manager station and let the Alarms send SNMP traps to that SNMP Manager.
These traps can then trigger scripts.
