How to automate VM console ( the black screen )?

Hi,

As a project need I have to deploy iso a regular build on ESX server. We create VM, attach the ISO file and power on the VM.

Once the VM is powered on, It displays VM console. During bootup user is expected to provide some input like "Do you want to install this software ?(Y/N)"

Host name, IP, Subnetmask etc

The finally the VM gets rebooted and becomes available on the lab network.

Is there any way we can automate the user input on the VM console ? Are there any automation tools that can support Ctrl+Alt with user input from the script?

Any third party tools?

Your inputs appreciated.

Thank you.

Would Auto Deploy be an option ?

You can control the setup and configuration of the target host with the PowerCLI AutoDeploy cmdlets, and then when you boot the host, it will be installed and configured through Auto Deploy.
