Create/Set TAGs via PowerCLI

hi,

right now i use custom attributes on virtual machines.

attributes are set throuth powercli nightly.

right now - with powercli 5.1 - it's (as i know) not possible to create new tags and set tag's f.e. on a vm via powercli.

does anyone know, if this will change f.e. in 5.1 update 1 ?

it would help a lot as vcenter web client does not show up custom attributes.

thanks, chris

I don'tknow what the future will bring, but William Lam described a method to use these tags.

See his vSphere Tagging Feature Not So Invisible post.

And since the MOB is nothing more then a webinterface, this is not too difficult to do with PowerShell.
