Time is not synced between NSX Manager and vCenter

How much time difference in minutes or seconds can be tolerated in between NSX Manager and vCenter?

Hi,

I think you should not inquire about this and focus on keeping time synced !

Do not forget that communication between NSX and VCenter will go through SSL and time stamp will be checked  everytime.

Thanks for your response, yeah, i will consider it should always be in sync but from the troubleshooting point of view one should know this skew.

Got you, after more readings (the last one here http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/71364/tls-reliance-on-system-time) and depending on protocol used (TLS or SSL) time should not be any issue in general.

Focusing on your question, even if i know a timestamp will be needed for SSO authentication,  I do not know how vSphere really deals with timestamps to manage vCenter authentication requests...

you can take a look at this link vSphere 5.5 Documentation Center but any value will not be given...

If you reach to get the answer, please feel free to share it 🙂
