Windows XP Install Stops Looking For D:\I386

Gang,

Yes, I am a new Fusion user. I am trying to install Windows XP w/Service Pack 2 from an official MS CD. The installation goes along until the pop-up window asking for "Service pack 2 files" and then prompt points to D:\I386. Then my CD/DVD drive stops spinning.

What is happening? How do I get past this and start using Windows XP?

Not sure what was causing my problem but a new install of Fusion and a Windows XP solved the problem.
