Nexus S Not Recognized in Windows

Just purchased a Nexus S and am not able to get my Fusion/Windows7 environment to recognize it. I've tried some of the USB hacks but haven't had any luck.

I've tried the three variants of the following and did not see the thing:

usb.quirks.device0 = "18d1:4e22 skip-reset, skip-refresh, skip-setconfig"

I want to connect the device to Eclipse for development purposes, so there may be additional settings that I need to do (an example with the Galaxy S had a lot more entries than I found in my logs).

Anyone get this working? Can the folks at vmware help?

Thanks!!

Hi.

I went and created a fresh log.

I added the following to my VMX file:

     usb.analyzer.enable = "TRUE"

I also enabled debugging in the Fusion prefs.

I started Windows, Connected the Nexus S, Disconnected the Nexus S, and then Shut Down.

The log is attached.

Thanks!

Thanks for the log!  It looks like the device disconnected itself fromt the VM right after we asked it for data.

Could you try the following:

Start Fusion, power on the VM, let it boot up.

Connect the Nexus S to the Mac.

Check the "Remember my choice and do not ask again" and click "Connect to Windows".

If it still doesn't connect to the VM, try unplugging/replugging it into the Mac (on the same USB port).  Let us know.  Thanks!
