Custom network questions

Hi,

When creating a custom network in the Fusion 8 Pro network editor:

1. If you enable the "Allow virtual machines on this network to connect to external networks (using NAT)" checkbox, but leave the other checkboxes empty (i.e. there's no Mac connected and there's no DHCP on this custom network), how do you know what default gateway the VMs/clients on this custom network should use to be able to reach the outside world?

2. When having the "Connect the host Mac to this network" checkbox enabled, how can you control which IP the Mac has on this custom network?

3. Wouldn't it make sense if you could configure the IP settings of this custom network without having to turn on the "Provide addresses on this network via DHCP" (even if just temporarily)? As it is now you have to enable this checkbox to be able to edit the IP information of the custom network, save that, then disable the checkbox again, then save. I'm thinking that the setting for which subnet to use for the custom network shouldn't depend on the DHCP checkbox. One might want to adjust the network address of this custom network so that it doesn't collide with other networks one have defined/are connected with.

Thanks,
