Converting SCSI disk to IDE using VMware Fusion

I was trying to convert the SCSI disk to IDE using VMWare fusion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WSjtCjcXjY

Facing some issues after the conversion, i am not able to merge the split vmdk files?

The linux is not detecting the IDE disk and its not booting up the linux OS in the disk.

I am using 2.6.22 linux version, can you please let me know if we need to enable some specific linux kernel flag on linux to enable detecting IDE harddisks.

Regards

Ivan

Hi LvanVarghis.

Welcome to community and thanks for using Fusion.

May I know your OSX version , and what type and version of Linux guest?

You can change bus type of disk directly via UI, it should work. BTW, " i am not able to merge the split vmdk files", what does this mean? If not, does any message appear?
