vcenter alerts showing in vROPS

My apologies if my question sounds stupid but I am new to VROPS I have added my vcenter to vrops and I am trying to understand how alerts get sent from venter to vrops, I have created a new alarm in vcenter if a guest gets turned off. but the alert is showing on the guests in venter but does not show up in vrops.

Any Help would be much appreciated.

You will not see these kinds of alerts in vROps. vROps uses it's own set of symptoms and alert definitions built in or you can edit / add new ones if you wish. There is a lot of integration between the VC and vROps and more coming soon but right now these alerts are not part of that integration. You have to use the built in ones or create your own with the same metrics/faults.

No problem.

vROps (vRealize Operations Manager) is the new, re-branded version of vCOPs and while there are front end changes and backend improvements it does the same thing at the end of the day, just better.

Hope this helps
