vROPS v8.10.2 not reporting guest OS on some VM

Hi There,

We've just deployed a latest vROPS v8.10.2 and connect to our vCenter v7.0.3.005

As we use guest OS label to build reports, I notice that some VM was not included as expected. At vCenter, the VM is marked as "Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)"

But at vROPS, the guest OS is unknown:

The Properties in Metrics has no value:

Can anyone give me some hints how to fix it? Or I should file a case with VMWare?

Thanks

Steve

What does Configuration|Guest OS from vcenter show?  Tools needs to be running for the other property to populate.

Yes, "Configuration|Guest OS from vCenter" shows "Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)".

But our pricing card on "Guest OSs" seems only honor "Properties|Summary|Guest Operating System|Guest OS from Tools".

The charge should apply even when VM is powered off. The Windows License pricing was not charged to this VM due to missing value in above metric.

Any further hints? I think this metric is a property and should not be empty.

Thanks very much.
