Hi All,
Wonder if someone could point me in the right direction please?
We are currently setting up the outbound notifications plug-in to be able to create log files for all alerts using an NFS share mounted into vrops appliance. We want to add an NFS share which we host from a SCOM Server which can then pickup each of the .LOG alert files as we are using SCOM as our main event management suite.
We are facing some challenges and falling at the first hurdle however. We have created a folder already which we have then tried to use the standard mount -t nfs <IPAdd/servername>:/nfsshare /tmp/test on to the Primary log collector vROPS appliance but it just hangs and does not do anything. have tried so many differing command strings for this but we get the same thing back....
We have tested the share from another machine and it is fine so i'm thinking not a permissions issue.
Has anyone else attempted this with success?
Regards
Richard
Managed to solve now by using -o nolock in the mount commnd and using Chmod to ensure that vRops could write to that direcroty
Magic!
