Hi all,
Hopefully you might be able to give us a place to start looking to resolve this issue.
The issue "No data to display" was picked up since upgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.2.1.
Existing objects are affected, new objects are displaying the Metrics correctly.
All collectors and permissions are in place and we have more than 6 vCenters that are being collected from.
None of which gives all the metric data. This is for CPU, Memory, network and disks
Below are some metrics on the same VM and also others that either do or do not display data
Example of metrics that does not display:
CPU|Usage (%)
Memory|Usage (%)
Example of metrics the do display:
CPU|Workload (%)
CPU|Total Capacity (MHz)
Memory|Workload (%)
All packs are up to date and was updated after the upgrade was completed.
Thanks,
Otto
What is showing on Administration > Inventory Explorer > Collection States > Check if all objects are how Collecting.
Let me know this information.
You can too try do this:
* Remove and Re-Add Adapter Instance
Remove and Re-Add (X / +)
Home > Administration > Solutions > Choose Adapter > Configure (click the gear icon) >
Record the Display Name, Description, vCenter Server IP Address, Credential and expand Advanced Settings and note the Collectors/Groups configuration (it may be Default collector group)
Remove:
Select the Adapter Instance
Click the "X" icon to delete the instance.
Do not check the "Remove releated objects" box.
Click the Yes button
Click the "X" icon to delete the instance.
Add:
Click the "+" icon to add the instance.
Enter Display Name, Description, vCenter Server IP Address, Credential and expand Advanced Settings and select the same Collectors/Groups configuration as previously used (it may be Default collector group)
Click the "Test Connection" button
Review and Accept the Certificate
(You can highlight and copy the certificate information and save it for a record)
Click the "Save Settings" button
If prompted, select to Force the registration
Click the "Close" button
4. Start Collection
Home > Administration > Solutions > Choose Adapter
In the VMware vSphere vSphere Solution Details panel, select the adapter instance.
Click the Green Arrow/Play "Start Collecting" Icon
Confirm that the Collection Status changes to Data Receiving
Hi, MauroBonder,
Apologies for the late reply.
What is showing on Administration > Inventory Explorer > Collection States > Check if all objects are how Collecting.
All objects that we tested are actually collecting.
There were some that are "not collecting" only SAN storage objects.
and some non existing objects.
The 2 starting objects are not an issue at this time.
I will try the remove and re-add (Configure of the Instance) of the vCenter Adapter instance.
and update this thread when done.
Thanks!
