error: line 386: unsupported virtual hardware device virtualscsi

Hi,

I am currently deploying vcenter operation 5.0.2.0 (VMware-vcops-5.0.2.0-770497-vapp.ova) into the vcenter 4.0.0 (162856) and esx 4.0.0 (398348).

The error, "line 366: unsupported virtual hardware device virtualscsi", comes when importing the OFV..

Please see attached screenshot.

minimum system requirement from the documentation was:

vCenter Operations Manager is compatible with:
>System that serves as the target of data collection: VMware vCenter Server 4.0 U2 or later
>System running the vApp: VMware vCenter Server 4.0 U2 or later
>Host running the vApp: ESX/ESXi 4.0 or higher

I think my system pass the minumum requirement that needed.

Could someone pls advice me, what could have been wrong?

can we edit manually the disk type as the error described above..?

thanks

Your vCenter need to be updated to at least U2, you are running vCenter 4 without any updates.
