editing emailFilter.xml inquiry

We are using the vCenter Operations Manager vApp.  I'm looking to edit the emailFilter.xml file.  In the vcops-57-custom-ui-admin-guide.pdf on page 87 it mentions to edit this file on the second virtual machine.  What machine is that?  Is it the UI machine or the Analytics machine?

The Analytics VM. It is also referred to as the second VM, or "secondvm-internal" by an entry in the hosts file for internal name lookup.
