Why can't I see the latest status of my VM in vCOps?

Good day!

I am new to vCOPs and currently studying how to use it and how it can help us in monitoring our VMs and our datacenter.

My question is, why can't I see the latest status of my VMs in vCOps? The VM is actually down but in vCOps it is still in green status.

Can we really see the status of the vm whether it's up or down? oR just the workload, health and its capacity to work?

Please help. Thank you.

This depends on what you define as Up/Down. vC Ops is behaviour oriented, shutting down a VM by intention is not considered an alert worth event, however that differs if you look at the enterprise edition where you can define your own Dashboard and Alert rules.

I am currently using the Standard version of vCOps.

Does the red icon in capacity section affects the update of data report in vCOPs?
