I have created a view with 80 columns but when I run the report I only see 51 columns in the csv file and the pdf file fails to even create. Does anyone know who to get around this, it was working prior to the upgrade from VRops 6.0.

Yes, in vROps 6.2 column count in reports was restricted - limitated to 50 in csv and 25 in pdf (wihotu Name column).
As workaround you can split your view
