Monitor esxi host services

I'm running vcops 5.8.1 w/advanced licensing.  Is it possible to monitor NTP time within vcenter operations manager?  I realize once you set this works most of the time Smiley Happy  I want to ensure the service is running and not having the time drift.  Has anyone done this before and added to a dashboard?

Hmm... not sure whether you can do this (with vc ops)

vc ops relies on metric data coming from vCenter, and as far as I know there isn't any metric which can be used for that purpose.

are you aware of any events or alarms which are triggered on the VC/ESX side when NTP is not available?

I was informed to use Hyperic that snaps into vcops.   I'm doing an evaluation of vcops.

ok so you have a java app which is running on a vm and you want to monitor that app, right.

this you can do with hyperic integration, yes.
