Getting an aggregate storage utilization totals from vCOPS

How can I use vCOPS to show me the total storage utilization from vCOPS?  I need to get a summary of the total iOPS for all VMs in the environment.  (Ideally, also the total storage throughput of all VMs and the average latency/response time experienced by all VMs).

Go to your Datastores and Clusters and put all your datastores into a single folder, from there you can pull the combined kbps of all the datastores in that folder.

We do it for one of our generic scoreboard widgets but we then use a supermetric to convert it to mbps

I don't see that in 5.0 - does that require 5.6?

I believe it would require 5.6 because its considered a Custom Group.

Great - thanks.  Can I select a bunch of VMs from different locations in vCOPS, and use a custom group to put them together to view stats? Or would I use custom tags for that?
