Dashboard locations

We had an issue with our VCOPS and had to re-import all our users from AD. Unfortunately when logging back in there dashboards are missing. Where does VCOPS save users dashboards to?

Thanks

Typically it is suggested to have a primary user that is used for dashboard management/ownership. However, if you wish to forcefully change ownership of the dashboard, you can do this via the API here: vcenter-ops/tools/dbcli/dbcli.sh

Instructions to use this tools are outlined in the vC Ops Admin Guide for Custom UI, starting at page 155..

Thanks for replying. I have had a look at that document. Can I ask how you backup your dashboards?

Are they actually saved as files anywhere on the server or do you have to manually export them to back them up?

You usually won't go SCP'ing data to/from the UI server, so the db-cli.sh export command won't really be of much value to you. If you want to backup a dashboard, "export" the dashboard using the Custom UI.
