I started a discussion "IPs to be used for NSX deployment" and it cleared my doubt about how the IPs should be applied to the VMs used under NSX.
Now my question is related to the Network and Consumer Cluster deployment in vRA 7.6
I am deploying vRA 7.6 considering below;
> vRA Minimal Deployment
1) Management Cluster
> 3 ESXi hosts with HA and DRS
> Will Host DC, SQL, vRA appliance, IaaS, and Web server
2) Consumer Cluster
> 5 ESXi hosts with HA and DRS
> Will host VMs that are created via vRA by End users.
vDS
> 1 vDS for Management Cluster
> 1 Port group for Management
> 1 Port group for Management cluster VMs mentioned above
I don't have flexibility to use multiple subnets. I can use only One Routable Subnet
Question 1:
I am not able to understand how should I setup networking for Consumer Cluster
Question 2:
What network configuration needs to be done so that End Users that requests VMs via vRA are created in Consumer Cluster.
Question 4:
Do I need to use NSX for both Management and Consumer Clusters ?
For Management cluster, setup with NSX can be done as below;
1) Decide Private subnets that needs to be applied to the VMs behind NSX and NSX DLR
2) Apply Private IPs to the VMs behind NSX
3) Apply Private IPs to all interfaces of DLR
4) Make the Default Gateway of all VMs that are behind NSX as the next hop IP of NSX DLR
5) Apply VLAN IP to External Interface of Edge Gateway
6) Configure NAT to allow mapping of Private to Routable VLAN IPs
But then how to Setup Consumer Cluster then ?
Question 5:
Or Use NSX for only Consumer cluster ? But is it possible like this way ? If yes, then again how.
Question 6:
Is NSX compulsory for vRA "Minimal" Deployment ?
