I am very excited about the recovery from stale and unusable vCenter connections! I'd say it is way overdue but instead I will just be happy it is being addressed Downloading for our test environment now.
Hello every one
i need some help in here, i`m new on learning VmWare
i would like to ask about Orchestrator, i have installed it on win Ser 2008, i have installed SQL, i have installed Orchestrator and i can connect via web, but when i try to connect via Client it does not work out..
some one help please
I am doing some testing with this plugin on a server that has a large number of vc's / vm's . I have a workflow that uses VcPlugin.getAllVirtualMachines() . This seems to cause the server to go off into the weeds. I let it run for more than an hour and had to cancel the workflow. This was working in 5.1 . I just upgraded to 5.5 and also put this preview in place. I wrote a tester to instead cycle through each sdkConnection and run sdkConnection.getAllVirtualMachines() just to make sure I wasn't hitting an issue with any one vc in particular and they all returned an array of virtual machines. My vCO has 9 vCenters and around 18,000 virtual machines. Any advice on what might be the issues. I already increased the heap size for the jvm in the wrapper.conf file.
Hi Folks
Above it says that the following has been released
Version 5.5.1 GA has been released. Build number: 1614908
I cant find this on the internet anywhere i searched, can anyone help with a GA release
Thanks
The GA version of the plugin is not distributed separately. It is available with the vCenter Orchestrator appliance, which can be downloaded from:
https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?productId=351&downloadGroup=VCL-VCOVA_551#errorCheckDiv
Regards,
Victor Semionov
Just to point out,
The vmoapp link above is more up to date than the GA release, and if possible should be used over the GA release. This link will be refreshed as new versions become available.
The latest version fixed my problem with deleting snapshots :smileyplus:
Anyone have any best practices or a helpful comment on best ways to upgrade vCO when these kind of technical preview plugins are installed?
I attempted to upgrade my test instance of vCO 5.5.1 -> 5.5.3, and the plugins section of the configuration service was a bit screwed up. Not sure if its easy to downgrade just this plugin back to the vanilla version, then upgrade vCO, then upgrade back to latest tech preview. Any thoughts guys? I'll be trying again soon and will report my findings.
Can you list folder: /var/lib/vco/app-server/plugins/? Also can you look at /var/log/vco/configuration/catalina.out for anomalies after upgrade?
It looks like after upgrading to 5.5.3, I just needed to delete the default installed 11nplugin-vsphere.war file, and restart vCO. That looks to have fixed the issue. Thanks!
