Accessing vSphere APIs using Orchestrator

Is there a quick getting started guide for accessing vSphere APIs using Orchestrator?  For example, if I am used to using "get-vm" in powerCLI to pull a list of VMs, a reference for how I would do the same with Javascript?

You can take a look on "Expand your vCO library with Onyx" : http://www.vcoteam.info/articles/learn-vco/113-expand-your-vco-library-with-onyx.html
