VMware vRA 7 - Import vCenter SelfSigned Root CA for VMRC

Hello,

we are currently deploing a small vRA 7 installation.

We got a SAN certificate for the vRA Appliance and for the IaaS host.

All works fine, no certificate warnings.

But if i open the remote console of a deployed VM, i still get certificates errors.

I found this (Connecting to a resource using the Remote Console (VMRC) option in VMware vRealize Automation 6.2.1 ...) (is for vRA 6.2.1., but i think that it is also valid for vRA 7).

Certificate trust between vRealize Automation appliance(s) and the ESXi server must be established or you will see SSL handshake failures in the catalina.out (after increasing the console-proxy logging level).

The ESXi host still using the default self signed vCenter certificate.

How can i import this certificate to the vRA appliance to validate all my hosts?

Using the SAN certificate for the ESXi hosts is not an option.

Thank you

Either way you're going to be annoyed...

1. Generate certs of an internal certificate authority. You can then get vRA to trust the root CA and it will work without a problem.

2. Trust each and every vSphere host certificate, and continue doing it for new hosts as they are added.
