Is there a way to add property definitions/groups to an XaaS Blueprint?

Forgot to add that I am currently using vRA 7.2.

Not normally, because XaaS is not the same type of blueprint construct as composite. If you want to control similar behavior you build it into your vRO workflow.

daphnissov Found a way to attach them to the XaaS by using vRO action which reads/list a vRA definition property. So far works great!

Forgot to add that one issue is that I am experiencing, I can't filter on the list. Let's say by typing "R" on my keyboard and getting all items starting with an R  to show.
