I have several ESXi 3.5 u4 hosts. They are all exactly the same make and model of machine with the same firmware levels. I have been unable to install this patch onto several of them - and I have no idea why. I'm using update manager. I'm using the default baselines create in vCenter Server 4. When I first ran the update manager scan against each host after applying u4 there were around 6 or 8 patches missing. So I remediated each host. 10 of the 12 remediated all the patches. 2 of the hosts just would not apply this patch. After the machine would come back up it would say that this patch is missing. I would try to remediate again but it would immediatly reboot the host instead of trying to install the patch. For one of the hosts I just rebuilt the machine and tried again and it ended up applying all the patches the next time through, but I don't want to have to do that. Any suggestions.
